How long will my Velo Otate last?
Bamboo frames can last for many years depending on how you care for them. Like other woods, bamboo requires regular hydration (oils for wood) and avoid being exposed to the elements for weeks to stay in the best of conditions.
It can get wet?
Bamboo is a hygroscopic fiber so it absorbs the moisture that surrounds it, there is no problem for the material in rainy conditions. Drying the bike after wetting is recommended, but not necessary. Avoid submerging it in water, as excess moisture can cause the growth of bacteria and fungi on the surface of the material.
What should I do if the bamboo on my Velo Otate cracks?
It is important that you notify us of any tear to make your warranty valid, however, due to its structure, a tear does not affect the functioning of the bamboo, so you can continue using it without fear. Rest assured that it will not break under pressure. If the crack is serious and does not fall within your guarantee in any way, you can contact us to repair it for an agreed cost.
